-They open the border in 6 of February 1939.

-They walk 30 kilometers.

3) Who were the responsible for guarding the refugees?

- The responsible were the colonial troops, Moroccan and Senegalese.

4) Why didn't the inhabitants of Argelès help the refugees?

-Because if they do it, they go to the ''Camp of Argelès''.

5) What did they do to put up with the low temperatures?

- They sit together to kept warm.

6) Which were the most common diseases?

- The most common diseases were dysentery, pneumonia, scabies, tuberculosis, typhoid fever…

7) What did they do to get some bread?

- They went the truck on truck to get more bread.

8) What did Chanois and his friend do?

-Chanois and his friend, infiltrated secretly in the ‘‘Camp of Argelés'' for show the truth to the people of outside.

9) Did the refugees trade in? What did they sell?

-Yes, they did. They sell books, tobacco, food…

10) Why did some women prostitute themselves?

-Because they want food and money for survive.

11) How were those women punished?

- Those women were punished with ''Camps de Càstig''.

12) What did the Republicans do in order not to get bored?

- The Republicans worked in workers companies.
